Those who gave Mr. Doherty $5,000 include the Democracy Fund of Harrisburg; the Ninth Decade Fund of Philadelphia; the Philadelphia law firm of Ballard, Spahr, Andrews & Ingersoll; Compression Polymers Corp. CEO James Keisling of Lake Winola; retiree Myer M. Alperin of Clarks Summit; Eunice Boscov of Reading, wife of Boscov's owner Al Boscov; real-estate investor Dennis M. Corvo of Peckville; F&S Supply Co.'s James Flynn of Clarks Summit; Don Kalina of the Clarks Summit architecture firm Highland Associates; Kane is Able, Inc.'s Christopher Kane of Clarks Green; John Kearney of John Kearney Associates in Taylor; consultant Alma Lakin of Reading; Murray Insurance executive Brian J. Murray of Scranton; Arlene Pasonick of Wilkes-Barre; Quandel Group CEO Noble C. Quandel of Pottsville; and real estate investor Vincent Scarpetta of Moosic.


Those who gave Mayor Doherty more than $5,000 include homemaker Flora Karam of Waverly, $11,000; Redevelopment Authority solicitor Carl J. Greco, $9,000; health care consultant Nancy Hanahue of Clarks Summit, $8,000; and DDRC Realty Co. of Taylor, $7,500.

Times-Tribune publishers Edward J. Lynett Jr. and William R. Lynett gave Mr. Doherty $1,000 each, while publisher George V. Lynett gave $2,500.
