State Rep Vulnerabilities

Does anyone think any of our Philly area elected officials are endangered because of their vote on the payraise? Here are a few possibly beatable state reps in our area.

Bucks- I don't think anyone is vulnerable

Chester- ?

Delaware- Mario Civera maybe (should have won by more last time)

Montco- Gerber (even though he voted against the pay raise you would have to think the R's will try to knock him off, probably their last shot to do so), Shapiro ( I don't think he's vulnerable, he just won by too much last time, Shapiro really is entrenched because Abington has become rapidly similar to Cheltenham), Fichter (don't know how he voted on raise), Crahalla (i think she's safe because she won by dougle digits against a funded opponent)

Philly- Josephs (does anybody know if Andrew Hohns is going to run again, this could work against her<the payraise>), Kenney (if Brendan Boyle is supported by the Dem Party, he has a chance), Rieger (god, I hope he's vulnerable!)

Bucks is where we need to make people vulnerable!  There needs to be some breaks in the GOP's machine at some point and I do smell some blood there due to the fact the county is FAR more liberal than the clowns representing them except maybe Joe Conti.

In Chester County I think Taylor is vulnerable if she runs.  She won by 7% last time and is running against the same candidate who will be far better funded.  If she doesn't run, then Shannon Royer (Perzel's personal aid) will likely be the candidate, but I think the Dem is currently the VP of borough council in West Chester.  This is a seat a moderate female dem could win.

Actually you have it backwards.  The most vulnerable in Bucks is Conti from his right.  All other Rep seats are safe.  Bucks is not the Northeast, thank God!

The Democratic candidate dropped out... she was the only candidate I saw winning.

Crahalla has announced her retirement, and Rep. Ray Bunt might not have made his retirement official yet, but his letter to MCRC Chairman Ken Davis is on the MCRC website at www.montcogop.org  Persistent rumor alludes to Rep. John Fichter retiring, but after having already lost two House seats in 2004, Davis is probably begging him not to do so.

Fichter's retiring.  The late announcement may be timed to make it more difficult for the Democrats to find a winning candidate.  Former MontCo prosecutor Sean Cullen is running for the 70th district's GOP nomination.

Actually, Cullen didn't run and Jay Moyer defeated Philip Heilman in a landslide.  Netta Young-Hughes is running again on the Democratic side for the 70th.
