It is no secret that the Republicans could not win the Erie mayoral race. So why did Tim Zarnick even enter the race in the first place, just to end up quitting? It is an embarassment to the Republicans, and Zarnick just eliminated any chance he had of successfully running for any office in the future, as he will be viewed as a quitter. He should have used this as a chance to gain some name recognition, and use that to run for another office within the next couple of years, where he might have had a chance to win. Oh well, as long as Filippi is out of office...
