Even if Doherty does skate the legitimacy of his adminsitration is nill. He has proven to be an ineffective leader who prides himself on his arrogance. When will he learn? Seriously look at Doherty he barely survived a primary after all of his so called progress. This despite the fact that the Scranton Times refuses to print the truth about his administration, an editorial baord that gives him weekly hummers, a weekly show with Dobee Illuzzi from the Non NON partisan group Scranton Tomorrow, a $200,000 PR man in Gibby Jo and TWO TV stations that do nothing but pump out his fluff. If it were not for Channel 61 people might actually believe that Doherty was for real. All I got to say is RUN DOHERTY RUN!!!! You cant run away from the truth and truth is gonna get ya!!!!!

I couldn't agree with you any more! This city administration is no doubt an administration in severe crisis-- and this crisis is manifesting itself in various forms (to name a few: a blitzkrieg of ads on TV and articles in the Times, the "inspectors" and the great and wonderful police snooping through our yards) .
When Doherty loses in November he is going to run away with his tail between his legs. I think we should organize on the front steps on city hall and chant "NAH NAH NHA, HEY HEY HEY, GOOD BYE" as we watch Chrissy poo and the most snotty Sara carry their things out. If she tripped and fell on the icy step I would step over her.
I must admit that it is beautiful to see the people of Scranton standing up to the Doherty regime DESPITE the struggle entailed. Despite the PR firm, despite the so-called progres, and despite Chrissy being the Irish Catholic-knows-best poster child that this town traditionally identifys with. The past (especially the past 4 years) has been like watching a train wreck; now we are finally seeing a counter-movement and the citizens of this city are standing up and redeeming themselves.
