Harvard of the North East my ass. The U of S is another DeNaple instituition that exploits this city for everything it can. And it hides behind the myth of "social justice" for the community that it in actually exploits.
For instance, once a year students sleep outside as some sort of protest against homelessness. (If you stop by in the middle of the night you will see them INSIDE the Gunster). And the students have a canned food drop collections like they actually give a damn about the less fortunate. But, whether naively or not, I see very well what it signifies to me: that the University of Scranton is a great Empire, that all her sons, without colour discrimination, faithfully serve under her banner of social justice, and that there is no better answer to the detractors of an alleged community exploitation than the zeal shown by the students in serving so-called egalitarian work for the city.
U of S has a 100 million dollar endowment but has the nerve to charge over 20,000 in tuition and charge a hideous amount to dorm there. This is WHY the U of S has so much investment capital handy to buy things like South Side complex and the Raddison. And the catholics in this area sympathize with U of S's project of expansion/incorporation and thus they are allowed to do it (tax free) with no problem. This is WHY they have so much money to wine and dine Princetonreview and other college ranking organizations to publicize their school.

And back to the original point I made: Could you please provide some proof to that accusation? Could you ask the person who told you that their paychecks come from the UofS to give you a copy of their pay stub (with all personal information blacked out, of course) so that we can all see, as opposed to yet another accusation with no hint of authentication?
On a final note: it's pretty funny that you post gary is the quality cannidate, folled by a diarehha-spewing oval creature....
