Yes, somethin like has happened in PA.

Earlier this year, Otter filed a challenge to the legitimacy of the nominating petitions submitted by his party's endorsed candidate for controller, Thomas Taft, that helped persuade the Commonwealth Court to strike Taft's name from the ballot. Now, Lingenfelter is the lone Democratic candidate for controller.

The problem is that it is probably too late at this point to have his name stricken from the ballot.  Ballots have been printed, any many have probably already voted by absentee ballot.  I suppose that the only legal remedy is to have him declared ineligible if he win the nomination,  which would allow the Democratic party to name a replacement.
