The post that prompted Joe to expel me from the garden merely re-iterated a point I made a few months ago under the name Antisystemicmovements. I said that people in the ICN are accusing Janet of being a social climber and someone that uses people as a means to an end. Even worse, they're saying that she 'slept her way to the top.' I acknowledged in the same post that got me banned that those wicked accusations about Janet are purely speculation by people in the Irish Catholic Network. Further, I said that even if the rumors were true (and I said in that same post that I doubt they are true) I don't care and I will still vote for her. In other words, even if the ICN is right about Janet she is still more qualified for the job. I also noted that many of the people I've talked who don't support Janet were very threatened by her (Men and women alike are often intimidated by an outspoken and smart woman).
The people running for state rep are using stump speeches that are very formulaic. They TALK to death about the big three: jobs, health care, children. Some have ventured off and called for reform in the legislature under the guise of bringing back the government to ‘the people’. They talk as if they’re actually going to do something when they get to Harrisburg!
O'Boyle will continue the ICN's project and he is, in my humble opinion, the MOST qualified to represent the ICN. Murphy is only running just in case the ICN feel that good ol' North Scranton Irishman Murphy is more qualified on election day. Courtright is running to steal votes from Janet. If Janet wins she is going to be an arbitrary resistance vote that nobody really listens to (kind of like Commissioner Washo) DESPITE her best efforts and good intentions. Williams is just feeding his ego. Burke is testing the waters and seeing how far his last name will get him.
