Peg said in the paper today that she is unsure if she will support Bob Nyce.

This is the same Chairman who demanded that her Republican committee people support the party choice in primaries and always insisted the TEAM stay together in general elections. Now that voters have rejected her win at all costs style she no longer believes in the team concept that she once preached?!? On top of that her campaign sent out an email after the election praising Doug Dodge who is openly pushing Stoffa. What a bunch of sore loosers!
Its also frustrating that the Northampton County Republican Party sent out emails during the campaign supporting Peg and bashing Nyce, but now the County Party is sending emails asking all republicans to pick up signs and keep them for the general. So what is the problem?? They are listing the name of every republican candidate EXCEPT Bob Nyce.. I repeat, what a bunch of sore loosers!!
We have an opportunity to have control of Council and the Executive branch for the first time ever, but we are going to lose to a low key guy like Stoffa if rank and file republicans don't demand that Peg Ferraro, Roy Shuman, Bob Kilbanks, and the county party stop being such sore loosers. Primaries can be bitter its time for folks to stop acting like children and accept the will of the voters. The voters have spoken and Bob Nyce is the man, lets get on board and take back our county government.
And for those who do not know.... Roy Shuman is the Chairman of the Northampton County Republican Party and Bob Kilbanks is the Vice Chairman.
Peg Ferraro, Roy Shuman, Bob Kilbanks and the County Party are supposed to represent the rank and file republicans. Well we have spoken and we want Bob Nyce so get off the pot and respect the will of the voters by supporting your Nominee!
I'm with ya!!!! The selfishness needs to stop for the good of the party. If party leaders continue on this path, it will prove that they have been self serving since their election, which is what many have said repeatedly, and that self serving mentality will destroy us in local, county, and state politics for years.
What Peg did for the county GOP was, and is appreciated; but the accolades and accomplishments will be forgotten quickly if she doesn't humble herself and do the right thing in the face of adversity.

What did Peg do for Joe Uliana after he beat her in the primary for the State Senate. That seat was for more Democratic than Northampton as a whole, yet Uliana won without Peg.
I, myself, do not question whether or not Bob can win without Peg's support. My concern though, is for the party. Bob Nyce will be the County Executive, and the thought of having a GOP undermining their own Executive's agenda and platform, is, well, deplurable.
I feel that if Peg is the team player and committed committee member she's always made herself out to be, she should face this loss with grace and humility. I pray that the leadership doesn't fall into this trap being set by indignant ex-candidates.
I think it is pretty clear that Peg likes to talk the talk of a team player but can't seem to walk the walk when its time. Her comments in the paper are childish and despite the steak dinner flyers and the like she launched on Nyce, he said all along he would support the winner.
So Bob Nyce wins and Peg Ferraro and Doug Dodge are taking their bat and ball and running home crying like little children. Why run in a primary if you are not ready to accept the will of the voters?
When Peg was chair she demanded her commitee people support Republican Candidates and entertained kicking those out who did not. But just as with the Uliana election, I think we knew what to expect from her if she lost.
What is most disturbing is the way the county republican party has sent out emails after the primary mentioning every Repubican except Nyce. This is not first grade folks. This is about our county government and our rising property taxes.
Its stime for Peggy Ferraro, Douglas Dodge, and the County Republican Party to stop whining about the primary and support the guy that republiacan voters selected...Bob Nyce.
Hey LVGOP, how many times are you going to reply to your own post? At least, have the integrity to tell these people the whole story, not just a portion of it. For the record, Peg Ferraro supports the Republican candidates and always has. Bob Nyce won the Primary Election, thus he is the Republican candidate for County Executive.
The Northampton County Republican Committee did not endorse either candidate before the Primary Election, and the e-mails were sent by the campaign, not the Committee. The e-mail distribution list used was a private list, not the Republican Committee's list. As Chairman, Roy Shuman has been completely impartial, displaying Bob Nyce signs in his lawn right next to Peg Ferraro signs. To claim bias like you have, is completely innapropriate and incorrect.
In a side note- the campaign chose to recognize Doug Dodge in the final e-mail thanking the volunteers, because he ran an clean, honorable campaign and did not throw mud at either Peg or Bob. People can have differing opinions on the same issues, yet remain civil. Ronald Reagen taught that years ago and I still subscribe to the philosophy.
How about this, instead of trying to create a controversy where none exists, you join the rest of us in supporting our Republican team and getting them elected.
I don't have to create the division, our party does a great job of that all on its own. The Republican Committee certaintly did send out anti-nyce emails during the campaign, I got them. Peggy, as of this moment, has only made one comment about Nyce since the election and that was to say that she is unsure if she will support Nyce. So much for her preaching of the team concept all those years. Way too funny!

I am way to civil of a gal to say who you are, but right after the election weren't you sending emails to Republicans for John Stoffa asking them to post an email that was written by the....ahem...Republican Committee Secretary calling Bob Nyce a liar? lol

What we witnessed here from AMODERNTURNCOAT...ahem.. I mean AMODERNPHEONIX, is exatly what I was talking about with respect to Peg Ferraro. They preach all about party unity and the "team" concept and the work behind the scenes to burry their own candidates. I am not opposed to working against a republican candidate if the need arises, but you will not find me preaching about unity while I am working to take down one of my own. If I were to work against a republican it would because that person did not subscribe the issue positions as outlined in the party platform and I would oppose that person openly and honestly.
In this case we have a AMODERNPHEONIX trying lecture us about party unity and pushing the Peg Ferraro "team" concept. AMODERNPHEONIX even proclaims support for Bob Nyce without specifically mentioning his name, yet after Bob Nyce beat Peg. AMODERNPHEONIX was sending emails to Republicans for John Stoffa (Republicans for Stoffa is controlled by the wife of defeated candidate Doug Dodge) trying to portray Bob Nyce as a liar.
Its amazing that even as adults we still act like sore losers in the same way we did in third grade.
